IsoJoint® Monolithic Isolating Joints

IsoJoint® is a true monolithic isolating joint and one of the most advanced patented joints available. It does not depend on isolating bolt sleeves and washers, isolating gaskets, or O-rings between flanges.

Why?

Traditional isolating gasket kits require a critical, even surface and the precise placement of a sealing element. These components must maintain regular and variable compression throughout the service life of the isolator. External pressure that creates an uneven load across the flange can cause a loss of electrical isolation and leakage of the transported fluid.

Reduce Maintenance Time & Costs

IsoJoint® uses one or more preassembled pressure seals and isolating rings.

Unlike isolating gasket kits, IsoJoint® does not depend on the installer fitting numerous gaskets, sleeves, and washers in the field. The loss or damage of a single component can cause the complete breakdown of a conventional isolated flange.

The monobloc design allows IsoJoint® to be welded into place as one piece, virtually eliminating field assembly problems. Its pressure-seal design and closure weld maintain the specified mechanical and electrical properties, permitting direct burial and requiring no routine maintenance.

Be More Productive

Although flange gasket kits may appear economical initially, their components, installation labor, inspection, and maintenance increase the total cost. IsoJoint® provides current control by dividing pipework into distinct zones within a cathodic protection system and effectively eliminating long-line currents. This helps extend the service life of plants, pipelines, and equipment by reducing corrosion damage.

Effective control can be achieved by installing IsoJoint® at pipeline entry points to processing plants or gas compressor stations, at branches connected to a mainline, where pipelines made from different materials meet, or where a well-coated pipe connects to a poorly coated system. Each pipeline section can then receive optimized cathodic protection, maximizing performance while minimizing costs.
